Christmas Message from the provincial 2025
Dear brothers and sisters,
Canadian singer and songwriter Michael Bublé shared recently that “When I hear music, I hear the voice of God”.
The world is constantly buzzed with sound, noise and voices. Some are music to the ear, and some numb our mind and heart. In a world full of wars, violence, and challenges, Michael Bublé lets his faith sow the seed of kindness, hope and love.
As we are approaching the birth of Christ, we are increasingly caught up in the atmosphere of festivity, with its lighting, music and usual commercial activities. There is a danger that in the midst of loud and competing noises, we do not hear the voice of God.
Yet, the story of Christmas is God’s speaking to humanity most definitively and decisively in the most silent way, in the small town of Bethlehem, to an unmarried couple, and in the baby wrapped in swaddling clothes.
May this Christmas be a time we truly hear the voice of God, the voice of love that reaches the depth of our hearts and calls each one of us by name; a time that we, in spite of our heartache, pain and loss, hear the comforting voice that says we are not alone, and God is with us, because Emmanuel is His name!
