Halfway through the first month of 2025 hopefully having relaxed and rejuvenated, we are invited to reflect on our spiritual journeys and the ways we can grow closer to God in the year ahead. We encourage everyone to embrace this new year as a time for renewal, re-commitment, and deepening of faith. Within the OMI community we believe faith is not passive but active and as St. Eugene taught, we must see the world through the eyes of Christ and respond with love, compassion, and humility.
Why Set Spiritual Goals?
In our fast-paced lives, it can be easy to lose focus on the deeper meaning of our faith. Setting spiritual goals allows us to remain grounded in our relationship with God. These goals remind us that faith is a journey—one that requires dedication, reflection, and community.
Whether it is through prayer, service, learning, or reflection, spiritual goals help us:
Develop a more consistent prayer life
Serve others in love and humility
Build a stronger sense of community within our parishes and families
Steps to Setting Meaningful Spiritual Goals
